Tailor machinist wanted in Pickens County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Pickens County, Georgia. Ideal candidate: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Day to day you will keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
