Steel erection rigger wanted in Franklin County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Franklin County, Iowa. The job is at a shipyard. On a typical shift you will inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit. What we are looking for: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
