Now hiring: we are hiring a HSE officer in Bon Homme County, South Dakota. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements Your main tasks: • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
