Urgent requirement: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in York County, Nebraska. On a typical shift you will set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine. You should have: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Rotating shifts. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
