Now hiring: we are hiring a milling machinist in Assumption Parish, Louisiana. Requirements: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery On the job you will handle: • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts Rotating shifts.
