Urgent requirement: pastry baker (New York)

Join our team: we are hiring a pastry baker in Broome County, New York. You will work at an in-store supermarket bakery. On a typical shift you will boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing; decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream; keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards; monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch; knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer; laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter. You should have: • Basic cake decorating and piping skills • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Able to work early-morning and night shifts Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
