Great opportunity: shuttering carpenter (West Virginia)

Join our team: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Ohio County, West Virginia. You will work at a precast concrete yard. The role involves: • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement • Check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour • Seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss Requirements: • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
