Great opportunity: we are hiring a head baker in Douglas County, South Dakota. You will work at a neighbourhood confectionery. What we are looking for: • 2+ years' experience as a baker • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens Day-to-day duties: • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer $210 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
