Urgent requirement: we are hiring an elevator technician in Del Norte County, California. The job is in a residential tower block. The role involves measure rope tension and check for broken strands; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators; wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches; test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox. Requirements: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
