Occupational health and safety officer wanted in Waldo County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Waldo County, Maine. The job is at a manufacturing plant. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot On the job you will handle: • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. $180 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
