Immediate opening: heavy equipment operator (Maine)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Penobscot County, Maine. On the job you will handle: • Keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook • Operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Work in coordination with the banksman and ground crew on signals • Check for underground cables and services before digging • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Understanding of safe digging near underground services • Willing to work at remote sites and mines on a roster Rotating shifts.
