Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixer in Brule County, South Dakota. The job is at a precast concrete yard. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level You will bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
