Urgent requirement: we are hiring a mobile crane operator in Sabon Birni, Sokoto State. You will be based at a container port and shipping yard. Day-to-day duties: • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift Ideal candidate: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Current medical and eyesight certificate Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
