Construction helper • Westchester County, New York

Now hiring: we are hiring a construction helper in Westchester County, New York. You will work on a commercial building project. Day-to-day duties: • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel • Clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns Ideal candidate: • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
