Aluminium tig welder • Cherokee County, Georgia

Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Cherokee County, Georgia. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. On the job you will handle: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp What we are looking for: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight $22 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
