Urgent requirement: turning centre operator (Tennessee)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Hawkins County, Tennessee. You will be based in a precision engineering workshop. Ideal candidate: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges You will change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand; set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets; write and edit G-code programs at the control. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $150 per day plus benefits.
