Immediate opening: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Jefferson County, Alabama. Day to day you will grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. You should have: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off.
