Immediate opening: we are hiring a tig welder in King William County, Virginia. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. You should have: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day The role involves: • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
