Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Greater London, England. You will work on a high-rise tower crane. Requirements: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Able to read load charts and lifting plans The role involves: • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams Six days a week, one day off.
