We are recruiting: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Oglala Lakota County, South Dakota. The job is at a container port and shipping yard. You should have: • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Understanding of hand and radio signals • A good head for heights for tower crane work You will read and interpret the load chart before every lift; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control.
