Vacancy available: brick and block layer (England)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Greater London, England. You will be based at a groundworks and structures site. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding On the job you will handle: • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts Six days a week, one day off.
