Garment machinist wanted in Winnebago County

Join our team: we are hiring a garment machinist in Winnebago County, Iowa. Your main tasks: • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required Ideal candidate: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines $16 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
