Immediate opening: tailor machinist (North Carolina)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Bertie County, North Carolina. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. On the job you will handle: • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation Ideal candidate: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
