Occupational health and safety officer — Harrison County

Now hiring: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Harrison County, West Virginia. You will take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site. Requirements: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
