Urgent requirement: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Talladega County, Alabama. You will be based at a busy retail butcher's shop. Your main tasks: • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Season and marinate meat on request • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts What we are looking for: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
