We are recruiting: we are hiring a banksman in Stone County, Arkansas. The job is on an offshore oil and gas platform. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams The role involves: • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
