You will record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors. You should have: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
