TIG welder • Hood River County, Oregon

Immediate opening: we are hiring a TIG welder in Hood River County, Oregon. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. On a typical shift you will grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise. What we are looking for: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
