You should have: • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code The role involves: • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Write and edit G-code programs at the control • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Run first-off inspection and sign off the part 4+ years on the tools preferred.
