Body shop technician — Porter County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a body shop technician in Porter County, Indiana. Your main tasks: • Shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer • MIG-weld and spot-weld new panels into place • Read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates • Replace damaged doors, wings, bonnets and bumpers • Straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains • Check alignment with measuring gauges after a structural pull Requirements: • Skilled in MIG welding and panel replacement • Good eye for panel gaps and body lines • 2+ years' experience as a panel beater or in a body shop Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
