Safety officer • South Tyneside, England

Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety officer in South Tyneside, England. You will be based in a warehouse and logistics yard. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training On the job you will handle: • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task 6+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around £13 per hour, based on your experience. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Share your details and we will call you back.
