What we are looking for: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work The role involves: • Give each garment a final press before packing • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
