Immediate opening: lifting rigger (Virginia)

Join our team: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Cumberland County, Virginia. You will work in a heavy machinery workshop. On the job you will handle: • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area What we are looking for: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
