Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams On a typical shift you will tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight.
