Plant operator (dozer) wanted in Grand Traverse County

Join our team: we are hiring a plant operator (dozer) in Grand Traverse County, Michigan. Ideal candidate: • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain • Proven experience operating crawler dozers (D6 to D8 class) On the job you will handle: • Work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals • Maintain haul roads and keep drainage falls clear • Rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank • Grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily • Grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms • Spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
