Now hiring: we are hiring a counter butcher in East Dunbartonshire, Scotland. You will work at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. What we are looking for: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry On a typical shift you will break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools.
