Vacancy available: steel erection rigger (Georgia)

Join our team: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Appling County, Georgia. You will be based at a container port. Day-to-day duties: • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use What we are looking for: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Pay around $18 per hour, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
