We are recruiting: we are hiring a canteen cook in Hoonah-Angoon Census Area, Alaska. The job is at a roadside dhaba. The role involves: • Manage the tandoor and skewer kebabs • Knead dough and bake breads such as roti, naan and paratha • Check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down • Check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO • Chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat • Plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service You should have: • Sound knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards • Able to stand for long shifts and work in heat • Willing to work split shifts, weekends and public holidays $19 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
