Join our team: we are hiring a TIG welder in San Luis Obispo County, California. On the job you will handle: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks What we are looking for: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Full-time with occasional weekends.
