Now hiring: we are hiring a garment machinist in Gloucester County, New Jersey. What we are looking for: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching On the job you will handle: • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
