Immediate opening: we are hiring a meat cutter in Big Horn County, Montana. Requirements: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler The role involves: • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Season and marinate meat on request • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights 4+ years on the tools preferred.
