Join our team: we are hiring a garment presser in Aleutians East Borough, Alaska. You will work at a textile finishing unit. What we are looking for: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Day to day you will sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics.
