Rebar fixer wanted in Kalawao County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Kalawao County, Hawaii. You will work at a rebar fabrication workshop. You should have: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Your main tasks: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
