Immediate opening: gas meter installer (South Carolina)

Now hiring: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. You will be based in a gas distribution network. Day to day you will lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points; test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. We offer $4,600 per month plus benefits. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
