Urgent requirement: industrial sewing operator (Scotland)

We are recruiting: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Clackmannanshire, Scotland. You will be based at a busy garment factory. The role involves: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching What we are looking for: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching 1+ years on the tools preferred.
