Occupational health and safety officer wanted in McPherson County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in McPherson County, Kansas. You will be based in a warehouse and logistics yard. The role involves inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces Meals and transport allowance provided.
