Bulldozer operator — Caldwell Parish

Vacancy available: we are hiring a bulldozer operator in Caldwell Parish, Louisiana. You will work at an open-cast mine. On a typical shift you will work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals; rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank; grease pins and bushes and check undercarriage tension daily; push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving; form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle; backfill trenches and foundations once services are laid. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain • Valid heavy equipment or plant operator licence • Proven experience operating crawler dozers (D6 to D8 class) Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
