Requirements: • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling On a typical shift you will fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour.
