Great opportunity: we are hiring a vacuum press operator in Marlboro County, South Carolina. You will be based in a garment export house. On the job you will handle: • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
