Immediate opening: tig welder (North Dakota)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a tig welder in Foster County, North Dakota. You will be based on an industrial construction site. On a typical shift you will weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; carry out 6G pipe welds where required. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
